Angelica Maria Vale Hartman (also popularly referred to as Angelica Vale) is a Mexican American actress, singer-impersonator also known as a comedian, host of a radio show and a comic. She was born in Mexico City and was raised by the comedian Raul Vale. She is credited with launching La Balada Ranchera, a kind of genre in music that was a top chart hit in 1973. It also resulted in Angelica Maria to become the first Latin artist to sell two million albums in the United States. In 1974 she married Venezuelan comic/singer Raul Vae, who she had met in 1974.
